Job Description
The (Senior) Financial Analyst will provide support forecasting/budgeting, performance analysis & insights, headcount and operating cost analysis, monthly close and reporting, automation and streamlining of processes, building presentations for internal and external parties to the division, business partnering with managers and executives, reviewing and approving AP and headcount coding, and various ad hoc requests.
Key Responsibilities:
· Support the annual budget and quarterly forecasting process through modelling, business partnering and analysis
· Support with weekly flash of revenue/gross profit to Executive team;
· Support the month-end close review process, undertaking detailed analysis to understand variances versus prior month, forecast, budget and prior year; and collaborate with the shared accounting centers to review results
· Review, monitor and forecast headcount, compensation and benefits, and other operating costs
· Analyze, identify, and execute cost saving initiatives in line with Senior Management objectives
· Track & monitor “build and run” costs of key projects through timesheets, and prepare indicative ROI and pay-back analysis
· Track & monitor KPIs including commercial, recruitment and operational and performance vs forecast/budget
· Support the “data journey” of Platforms including prototyping and building BI data and dashboards
· Support with weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting to internal and corporate stakeholders
· Partner with the business to provide advice and guidance
· Support finance and other stakeholders with special projects and requests that require financial and operational analysis
Qualifications
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA qualified with first time passes
- 2:1 degree from an accredited university
- Knowledge of iGaming / Software / Technology sector preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS standards preferred
- Strong modelling and analytical skills
- Ability to think critically and spot data anomalies, trends, or deviations – and then introduce strategies for improvement
- Commercially astute with a strong understanding of processes and systems
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision whilst meeting deadlines
- Qualified accountant with strong accounting/finance and FP&A skills
- Excellent skills in data analysis and presentation
- Experience with financial systems (Hyperion Planning, Essbase, Oracle, BI tools)
- Experience working in gaming, software, technology, IT or related industry environment
- Independent with good negotiating and communication skills
- Professional attitude towards the business
