Upwork has partnered with a leading global technology marketplace in the travel and accommodation industry that connects hosts and guests around the world. The platform enables independent property owners and professional hosts to grow their businesses through global demand, innovative tools, and data-driven insights.
The client is seeking a Market Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of professional host accounts across the Philippines, focusing on major metro cities and key vacation rental destinations. In this role, you will drive booking and revenue growth by optimizing host performance, increasing availability, and supporting adoption of platform tools and promotions.
This position requires a strong strategic and consulting-style mindset, with the ability to analyze market and account data, develop growth strategies, and present clear recommendations to stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be based in Manila or nearby cities, though candidates in Cebu are also welcome, with occasional travel as needed.
Job Description
- You will manage and nurture a portfolio of professional host accounts to meet and exceed quarterly supply optimization and performance targets
- You will drive revenue and booking growth through increased availability, product adoption, and portfolio optimization
- You will conduct structured outreach across the assigned portfolio to ensure strong relationship coverage
- You will hold recurring optimization calls and formal business reviews with host partners
- You will develop data-driven go-to-market strategies to grow specific segments, new supply categories, or targeted geographic areas
- You will present structured business proposals and growth plans using clear, compelling slide decks and documentation
- You will analyze account and market data to identify strategic opportunities and improve supply quality
- You will prospect and onboard high-quality new supply partners where applicable
- You will represent the client in external meetings and host-facing events
- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including communications and public policy to support host education, compliance initiatives, and implementation of best practices
- You will provide responsive and high-quality service to partners, including occasional in-market visits for support
Qualifications
- Combined 8+ years of experience in sales growth and account management with 1 to 2+ years of experience in strategy or consulting-related work (consulting firm, internal strategy team, or go-to-market strategy role preferred)
- 2+ years of real estate, property management, marketplace or hospitality tech industry. (not mandatory but preferred)
- Demonstrated experience creating data-driven go-to-market strategies for market expansion or segment growth
- Proven track record of exceeding product adoption, acquisition, or revenue targets across consecutive quarters
- Experience running scalable, measurable sales or operational programs
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and apply quantitative insights in day-to-day decision-making
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to structure and visualize ideas clearly in Google Slides or PowerPoint
- Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce experience preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of Google Sheets, Slides, Excel, and presentation tools
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally in dynamic, fast-moving environments
- Fluency in Tagalog and English (written and verbal)
- Bonus: Proficiency in Cebuano is highly preferred
