Job Description
Context:
To help us continue delivering operational excellence, we are opening a new position as Industrial & Supply Controller for Biospringer & Procelys at our headquarters in Marcq-en-Barœul, France.
This is a pivotal role that combines financial expertise with operational insights, supporting decision-making in order to ensure the organization remains competitive, efficient, and profitable. The position:
As part of the Finance Team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure robust performance tracking, cost control, and process optimization in both manufacturing and supply chain operations. Initially, your primary focus will be to strengthen Industrial Controlling by working directly with plant controllers and operational teams across sites such as the US, France, Serbia, China, and Brazil. As the role evolves, you’ll extend your expertise to Supply Chain Finance, improving visibility into transportation costs and logistics efficiency.
The position reports directly to the Global Finance Director for Biospringer & Procelys and involves occasional travels to manufacturing sites worldwide.
Your main missions will be:
Drive Industrial Finance Excellence:
- Analyze and monitor production costs (raw materials, labor, maintenance, utilities, etc.) to deliver actionable insights.
- Streamline processes for cost variance analysis, forecasting, and CAPEX management.
- Benchmark key performance indicators across global sites to identify best practices and drive improvements.
Harmonize Processes Across Sites:
- Lead the rollout and standardization of SAP (especially the Controlling module) to ensure accurate, real-time financial reporting.
- Work side by side with site controllers, production teams, and procurement to align day-to-day operations with financial objectives.
Collaborate to Enhance Supply Chain Finance (Future Scope):
- Develop tools to monitor and optimize transportation costs and logistics efficiency.
- Support financial reviews of supply chain optimization projects and sustainability initiatives, creating dashboards to track progress.
Qualifications
We’re seeking an experienced finance professional who brings a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, and strategic insight. Here’s what you’ll need:
Experience & Background:
- A Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Controlling or a related field.
- 10–15 years in industrial controlling, supply chain finance, or similar roles.
- Deep expertise in production cost analysis and CAPEX management.
- Proven track record working with international teams and multi-site operations.
Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in SAP (especially the CO module, familiarity with PP a plus).
- Exceptional analytical ability and capacity to turn data into actionable plans.
- A collaborative and proactive mindset with strong communication abilities.
- Exceptional ability to partner effectively with operational teams and develop trust across geographies and functions.
- Fluent in English; French is a plus.
Additional Information
