Company Description

The General Manager is responsible and accountable for all Element business operations and processes within the assigned location (profit and loss responsible).
 

  • Responsible and accountable to drive and deliver to annual Operational Plan commitments including: revenues, profit, working capital and operational performance.
  • Responsible for location support functions and systems including QA, Sales, Accounting, Safety and Health, Human resources, Empower (continuous improvement), and Service Excellence. Maintain current knowledge of corporate and location policies and procedures.
  • Develop and execute short and long term business plans and strategies to include operational goals, equipment needs, and staffing for the location. Working in conjunction long term corporate goals, develop and implement strategies based on geographic business industry knowledge, technical capability and expertise, and capital expenditures needs,
  • Actively maintain contact and relationships with top location accounts in line with ELEMENT policies, and participate as necessary to cultivate new accounts.
  • Provide managerial guidance to staff on reporting needs and requirements. Review reports, activities status, productivity, budget variance, and all other significant business issues on at least a monthly basis. Prepare and submit accurate forecasts on a monthly basis, maintain acceptable levels of working capital, and determine and execute on corrective actions necessary to achieve plan goals.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

10 years’ experience in a technical industry with previous significant managerial or leadership responsibility.


 


Special skills and abilities:

  • Project management skills to manage the process of providing excellent customer service, exceptional quality of service and turnaround, and continuous improvement ;
  • Broad knowledge of operations, engineering, materials applications, testing and financial management;
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, manage through, and resolve a wide range of employee and customer issues.

 EDUCATION and Experience required

BS degree in Engineering or a technical discipline. PE is desirable.
