Functieomschrijving
Are you passionate about cybersecurity and eager to gain hands-on experience in a real-world environment? During this internship, you will work closely with the Product Security Team at Lely to design and develop a proof-of-concept web application, also known as a honeypot. This application will help detect and monitor external attacker activity, providing valuable insights into potential threats and attack patterns.
Your responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing a proof-of-concept web application, known as a honeypot
- Implementing monitoring and logging capabilities to detect external attacker activity
- Collaborating with the Product Security Team to analyze attack patterns and derive insights
- Researching and applying cybersecurity best practices in the development process
- Exploring potential extensions, such as simulating realistic system responses or emulating full environments
- Documenting your findings and delivering a comprehensive project report
Functie-eisen
We are looking for a motivated and curious student with a strong interest in cybersecurity and software development. You enjoy solving complex challenges and are eager to apply your knowledge in a practical setting.
To be considered for this internship, you meet the following requirements:
- You are enrolled in an HBO or WO program in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Network Security or a related field
- You are familiar with Linux, scripting languages, networking and cybersecurity principles
- You have experience with network security tools such as Kali Linux, Wireshark or Nmap
- Experience with Capture the Flag (CTF) events is considered a strong plus
- You have knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, such as OWASP
- You have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken
