Job Description

A position has become available within Leidos for a TS PV or TS NV2 cleared Linux Systems Administrator. Primarily providing Linux System Administration duties, any additional level of experience administering Windows systems would be highly regarded.

The position will see you working from within our customers facility, collaboratively working alongside customers and other Leidos employees.

 Responsibilities:

• Install, deploy, maintain and upgrade Linux operating systems and software accordingly to corporate standard procedures and test their functionality according to operational procedures;
• Execute software roll-outs;
• Deliver on-site and remote support, investigate and solve requests from employees related to network, hardware and software issues;
• Provide technical assistance and consultation to other members of the organization;
•  Document cases for incidents and ensure the proper follow-up on issues and requests;
• Ensure that corporate policies and best practices are applied to all devices;
• Be proactive, identify and communicate potential improvements to your team leader and management;
• Assist in evaluating new requirements, technical design and standards;
 

Qualifications

• University degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent would be an advantage
• Very good English skills - both written and spoken
• Strong customer orientation skills
• Software skills / experience : Linux troubleshooting, Command Line, File and Folder Security, Windows Services, Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Office, SCCM
Advantages:

• Scripting ability (batch files, VBScript, PowerShell).

Additional Information

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen, holding a current NV2 clearance and be willing to to gain a TS PV clearance.
