Job Description
Working on one of our key programs with large government client, and in a complex environment you'll be our SCOM SME. You'll join a close knit team with supportive leadership as you grow your career.
Based in Canberra city, and reporting to the team mananger, your role will include:
- Carrying out highly specialist technical and/or engineering management activities in a professional manner in support of project and company objectives
- Carrying out unusually complex systems engineering assignments requiring high levels of familiarity and expertise with a broad field of engineering and technical knowledge including:
- collaboration-oriented products including, Lotus Notes/Domino, Microsoft Outlook/Exchange, and Microsoft SharePoint;
- data management products including, IBM DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and other leading DBMSs; and
- departmental and Enterprise Applications including, Microsoft CRM, PeopleSoft and SAP
Qualifications
About you and What you'll bring
You'll have extensive experience within the relevant technologies and domains including:
- Extensive experience as a Systems Engineer in a multidisciplinary environment
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft System Centre (SCOM, SCCM, SCORCH)
- Extensive knowledge of change and release management processes
- Demonstrated experience with data centre virtualization technologies (VMware & Citrix)
- Extensive knowledge of Tivoli EndPoint Manager
- Extensive knowledge of virtualization products (ESX, vCloud Director, XenApp, XenDesktop – vCOPS, SRM, Hyper-V).
- Extensive knowledge of a SAN infrastructure (EMC, NetApp & HDS)
- Extensive knowledge of a Networking infrastructure, (CISCO)
- Extensive knowledge of Windows Server and Linux/Unix Operating systems. In depth knowledge of server infrastructure and support of server infrastructure across a majority the major server vendors
- Extensive knowledge of Highly Available and DR solutions and configurations
- Extensive knowledge of load balancing and experience with relational databases
- Proficiency with administration automation through scripting (shell, python, PowerShell)
Note the successful candidate must be an Australian Citizen and hold an NV-2 Security Clearance.
