Job Description

Your New Role 
Leidos Australia, has a new opportunity as Project Manager to support our Project Managmeent Capability team and to surge into key Projects as required.  This role will see you gain exposure to a vairety of Projects and Programs across the enterprise and a real opportunity for you to make your mark!


Your responsibilities will include (not limited to):

  • Coordinate project planning, resourcing, staffing, supply and subcontract management, progress reporting, troubleshooting and people management.
  • Develop and update project artefacts as required including: PMP, schedule, risk and issues registers, communication plans etc.
  • Ensure project results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule and cost.
  •  Monitor performance and recommend schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource additions.
  • Oversee and coordinate work performed by external contractors.
  • Provide timely and accurate information and status updates to project sponsors, end users and management.
  • Participate in budget development and evaluating how project plan changes impact cost and schedule.
  • Manage the cost, schedule, resourcing, subcontractor deliverables.

Qualifications

About you and What You’ll Bring

  • 5  years’ experience in the delivery of Projects (federal government and Defence projects).
  • Proven experience designing and implementing project management processes
  • Demonstrated experience in staff supervision, leadership, risk mitigation and business improvement methodologies
  • Proven experience in managing projects and project delivery teams to success
  • Relevant certification in Project Management or Professional membership would be desirable.

Additional Information

This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and to hold a security clearance to the NV1 level.
