Job Description

The Client Strategy Team leads LGIM America’s multi-faceted client engagement efforts.  Our top priority is to be trusted partners for our clients while serving as stewards to our long-term business success.  Our client scorecard includes: 1) demonstrating our execution of investment excellence within client portfolios, 2) being client-led with a thorough understanding of client context (needs, objectives, priorities, preferences, constraints), and 3) expanding relationships with a solutions focus.  

Client Strategists lead client servicing, distribution, and business development efforts. They manage all client deliverables and communications, translating firm capabilities, investment views, and market context into clear, client-relevant messaging.

They mentor junior staff, collaborate across relationship teams, and contribute to firmwide insights on economic and market developments. Strategists are expected to independently navigate and enhance risk monitoring and portfolio modeling systems, ensuring alignment with client objectives.

They oversee implementation changes end-to-end across LGIM America teams and clients, maintain a holistic view of client engagement data, and demonstrate strong quantitative, technical, and client-facing expertise. They also lead training initiatives and develop junior colleagues to think strategically from both client and enterprise perspectives.

    • Build and deepen client partnerships, especially with key decision makers, to ensure full understanding of their core objectives and strategic goals
    • Develop “story” for client/consultant to sell the success of our investment strategy internally to demonstrate LGIM America’s value add
    • Maintain proactive client dialogue to reinforce our objective of providing best-in-class service, improving overall client experience, and ensuring awareness of our core competencies
    • Develop our internal client team so that we can all continue to grow and prosper

    • Expand client awareness of new solutions and investment capabilities aiming for LGIM America to have a strategic role when a client’s overall investment strategy is changing.
    • Identify, design, and implement new investment strategies across all LGIM America’s portfolio management capabilities within client context

Qualifications

  • Self-starter and team player
  • Bachelor degree required
  • Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and organization skills
  • Proven listening and oral & written communication skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for continuous learning and development
  • 10+ years investment management experience
  • Broad knowledge covering investment products, investment analytics, client context, and key steps of a client’s lifecycle (prospecting, onboarding, ongoing engagement, internal and external stakeholders) is required
  • Expert ability to tailor client communications within our scorecard framework
  • Strong ability to think like a steward of the success of our long-term business
  • Demonstrated success in evolving and expanding client relationships
  • CFA preferred

Additional Information

The starting salary offer will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to the applicant’s education, job-related experience, skills, and abilities, geographic location, and market factors. This position is also eligible to participate in the company’s annual discretionary bonus plan.
