This is a senior role at the centre of balance sheet optimisation, offering the opportunity to drive innovative solutions across asset liability management, liquidity strategy, and capital-efficient investing. What you'll be doing:
- Leading the identification and delivery of optimisation opportunities across portfolios within SAA and TAA frameworks to enhance risk-adjusted returns
- Overseeing the asset side of new business execution, including transition management and hedging of pension schemes
- Developing and driving innovative solutions for balance sheet management across hedging, liquidity and capital efficiency strategies
- Partnering with stakeholders to generate ideas that improve pricing and optimise back book performance
- Shaping and delivering investment strategy with a focus on ALM and liquidity management
- Advising on regulatory developments and leading the delivery of associated change across the business
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with teams across Asset Management, Treasury, Finance and Risk
- Embedding strong conduct risk principles and controls to ensure consistent delivery of good customer outcomes
Who we're looking for:
- Strong experience experience in asset liability management within insurance, asset management, or an institutional financial services environment
- Deep understanding of insurance balance sheets, capital frameworks and profit reporting regimes
- Strong knowledge of derivatives markets, including rates, FX, inflation and collateral requirements
- Strong understanding of Solvency II and broader regulatory frameworks
- Excellent analytical and quantitative capability, supported by a numerate degree or equivalent
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders across a complex organisation
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to translate market insights into strategic outcomes
- Strategic thinker with the ability to lead through complexity and drive long-term value
Whatever your role, we reward performance and behaviour with a package that looks after all the things that are important to you. Here are some of the benefits we offer:
- The opportunity to participate in our annual, performance -related bonus plan and valuable share schemes
- Generous pension contribution
- Life assurance
- Healthcare Plan (permanent employees only)
- At least 25 days holiday, plus public holidays, 26 days after 2 years’ service. There’s also the option to buy and sell holiday
- Competitive family leave
- Participate in our electric car scheme, which offers employees the option to hire a brand-new electric car through tax efficient salary sacrifice (permanent employees only)
- There are many discounts we offer – both for our own products and at a range of high street stores and online
- We’re creating net‑zero carbon workplaces by 2030 by investing in our sustainable, modern offices across the UK, all designed to bring people together and elevate the in‑person experience
