Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Application Support Analyst to join us in Hove!

You will play a key role in the analysis and resolution of incidents and service requests, from both internal and third-party applications. You’ll also work closely with colleagues across the business to provide exemplary technical support in addition to administering the back end of the applications.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Technical Support: providing technical IT support for Group Functions IT applications
  • Monitoring and managing the escalations queue: ensuring service requests and incidents across the application estate are dealt with in a timely manner, supporting the triage of incidents and carrying out Root Cause Analysis
  • Data amendments to our Back Office system: running regular batch programs and applications maintenance ensuring that global data from source systems is delivered to our users and systems in the correct format and in line with end customer scheduled tasks
  • Improvements: Initiating and conducting system and process improvements including the improvement of process documentation for common tickets
  • Knowledge base: Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Group Functions IT systems
  • Adhering to controls and information and IT security policy and procedures: controlling access and authorization levels in respect of in scope systems to ensure that only properly authorised users have access to the systems. This will include performing and managing regular re-certification exercises in accordance with the group wide access control policy and maintaining sufficient audit trail to demonstrate effective controls for validation by internal and external audit
  • Applications: managing and administering applications as required

Qualifications

Who we’re looking for:

  • ITIL foundation desirable or demonstrable equivalent experience at this level in this field
  • Ability to understand complex applications and how components work together
  • Excellent trouble shooting and problem solving
  • IT service management experience
  • Experience of technical IT support of ETL and SAS solutions; payment solutions; BACS-interfacing software; financial reporting; reconciliation / payment applications.
  • Experience in any of the following would be beneficial: Tableau, SSIS, PowerShell, SharePoint, DB2 Databases, Oracle APEX
  • An understanding of DevOps and the application lifecycle would be a huge plus!
