Job Description

Legal and General’s Group Data Analytics Database Marketing team are currently hiring for a new analyst due to growth of the team to assist in the delivery of key analytics and insight to support customer communication strategy.

The role will see you leveraging tools such as SQL to ensure data is structured and stored correctly, up-to-date, and is of the highest quality to in turn help deliver meaningful insights through analysis to guide the wider marketing team on their customer communications.

    What you'll be doing:

    • Understanding the data systems and structures within the business and contributing towards improvements to these systems where possible while linking understanding of source data to value adding analytics and reporting
    • Ensuring all outputs are visualised to a high standard through use of best practice and advocating for data visualisation best practice, sharing knowledge and guidance with others
    • Continuously developing processes so that deliverables are created in the most efficient way to improve performance, through the use of automation and appropriate tooling choices
    • Delivering ad hoc analytics and visualisations for internal customers; understanding the business need and delivering the outcome in a flexible and insightful manner using code to manipulate data (e.g. SQL) and visualisation tools to display outputs  clearly (e.g. Tableau/PowerBI)
    • Developing and maintaining productive relationships with all stakeholders; providing advice and guidance on data, analytics and visualisation to improve their knowledge and understanding
    • Delivering of regular reports to the business; always aiming for automation and standardisation to support business requirements in a timely manner
    • Engaging stakeholders and undertake and appropriate testing prior to the implementation of any system or business changes to ensure the impact on internal stakeholders and customers is understood

    Qualifications

    Who we're looking for:

    • Experience in dealing with high volumes of data with excellent attention to detail and reconciliation
    • Experience of creating dashboards/data visualisations with dashboarding software such as Tableau or PowerBI
    • Experience in performing data manipulation and transformation to create and maintain datasets and creation of structured datasets that facilitate efficient dashboard creation
    • Producing and automating regular reporting to a wide range of stakeholders using analytical tools
    • Gathering requirements from stakeholders across internal teams, managing expectations and guiding on approach
    • Working with a variety of datasets across different domains systems
    • Experience with coding languages for data manipulation, such as SQL
    • Experience with Alteryx beneficial but not essential
