Job Description

We are seeking an Order Fulfillment Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will plan, organize and lead order fulfillment, picking, and workflow activities in a high-volume distribution center. The role is responsible for ensuring the team meets and maintains productivity, accuracy, and safety standards for all picking and order processing. Applicants should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent administrative and organizational skills, and sharp communication skills. The ideal candidate has previous experience working in an order fulfillment role. 

A day on the job looks like this: 

  • Supervise a team of order fulfillment associates/drivers to include conveyable, non-conveyable items either within a picking module or on battery-powered equipment 
  • Leverage WMS to understand daily goal and cadence to maintain building balance and steady work flow 
  • Monitor, coach and assist associates to improve individual and team performance  
  • Develop and measure key performance indicators to drive productivity improvement 
  • Perform root-cause analysis to expose the source of errors and identify opportunities for improvement, including identifying specific usernames to increase worker accountability 
  • Work with other teams cross-functionally to ensure timely processing of orders to maintain accuracy customer promise 
  • Planning and monitoring daily labor needs based on immediate and forecasted order & unit volumes 
  • Evaluate staffing requirements to support varying workloads 
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and optimize cost effectiveness 
  • Closely monitor order fulfillment activity and adjust bin size and min/max stocking levels to maximize overall warehouse capacity 
  • Ensure compliance with standard processes and methodology for all order fulfillment–related activity within the warehouse 

Qualifications

  • Must have automated system: OPEX Perfect Pick 
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred 
  • 2–4 years of experience in order fulfillment 
  • Experience leading a team of 12–15 associates  
  • Good organization and business administration skills 
  • Attention to detail 
  • Willingness to improve, learn and adapt 
  • Ability to supervise, control, manage, instruct and lead others to complete the assigned tasks 
  • Ability to manage time effectively  
  • Ability to handle multiple functions and meet the deadlines consistently
