Job Description
In a time of unprecedented expansion, we are seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our Engineering team. In this position, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing and maintaining innovative web applications that provide exceptional user experiences. The role also requires working collaboratively across departments to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring the seamless integration of front-end and back-end technologies. Applicants should have a solid understanding of software development best practices, such as testing, code reviews and documentation. The ideal candidate also has experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and deploying applications in cloud environments.
A day in the office looks like this:
- Collaborate with business and other developers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical deliverables
- Design and implement scalable, responsive and user-friendly web applications with a focus on both front-end and back-end development
- Develop well-structured and efficient code using appropriate programming languages and frameworks, ensuring high performance and maintainability
- Create and maintain databases, APIs and server-side functionalities to support seamless dataflow and application functionality
- Ensure the security and integrity of web applications by implementing best practices for authentication, authorization and data protection
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks as needed
- Participate in support of existing suite of applications
- Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to maintain code quality and consistency across the team
- Collaborate in an agile development environment, attending stand-ups and sprint planning
- Contribute to the documentation of code, processes and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding of new team members
Qualifications
Got the skills and experience? Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in subject of educational focus; Master’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in architecting/designing/developing software solutions with particular emphasis on system integration
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role, showcasing a strong portfolio of web applications developed
- Strong back-end development skills, including proficiency in server-side languages (Python, Java, Node.js) and Django frameworks
- Experience with relational database systems (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows
- Understanding of Kafka architecture and concepts, and experience in using Kafka to build event-driven applications
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and the ability to design and consume them

- Salary: $95,000-$120,000 with an annual bonus of up to 10%
