Job Description
In a time of unprecedented expansion, we are seeking a Senior Learning Lead to join our team. In this role, you will develop and implement integrated and comprehensive learning programs for all Lakeshore HQ and Sales associates. The position requires being a thought and execution partner with HQ and Sales leadership and their HR Business Partners for strategizing, designing, facilitating and executing learning and development initiatives. Applicants should have Business Partnership experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. The ideal candidate is a Subject Matter Expert in Learning & Development with a strong business acumen.
A day in the office looks like this:
- Design, create and execute effective learning content for both training and development across all Lakeshore’s employees
- Partner with HRBPs and Division Leaders to:
- Understand the business lines, purposes, goals and objectives
- Determine intersection topics and key issues between those teams
- Work with business partners to raise and prioritize the most important issues
- Design long-term and short-term vision of learning plans/curriculum around HQ & Sales; evaluate and evolve plans on a quarterly basis at minimum
- Communicate progress along the way
- Translate those plans into content, by creating and revising content/aligned curriculum to meet the needs of adult learners, addressing determined KPIs
- Create learning content that drives behavior change
- Consider learner and business needs in creation of appropriate learning content
- Apply up-to-date industry knowledge and best practices to content
- Employ innovative learning strategies to best meet the learner; for example, live or self-paced learning opportunities
- Deliver/Facilitate content with assessment measures, providing trackable ROI
- Design assessment tools aligned to determined KPIs
- Gather feedback and data regularly to be applied to existing or future learning opportunities
- Deliver ROI data to the Leader of Learning and Onboarding on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Incorporate excellent facilitation skills to execute self-paced learning paths or live learning events that are measurably successful, innovative, inspiring and promote behavior change
- Circle back and adapt where needed to adjust for key learnings
- Partner with HRBPs and Division Leaders to:
- Evaluate and design HQ & Sales learnings to ensure they are relevant and meeting the demands & needs of the business effectively
- Partner with Learning & Development, Ops & Delivery to develop standards & system to categorize and evaluate effectiveness of current training
- Understand the business lines, purposes, goals and objectives
- Design long-term and short-term vision of learning plans/curriculum for various needs; evaluate and evolve plans on a quarterly basis at minimum
- Fill content holes by first prioritizing and then creating and revising content/aligned curriculum to meet the needs of adult learners, addressing determined KPIs
- Create learning content that drives behavior change
- Consider learner and business needs in creation of appropriate learning content
- Apply up-to-date industry knowledge and best practices to content
- Employ innovative learning strategies to best meet the learner; for example, live or self-paced learning opportunities
- Deliver/Facilitate content with assessment measures, providing trackable ROI
- Design assessment tools aligned to determined KPIs
- Gather feedback and data regularly to be applied to existing or future learning opportunities
- Deliver ROI data to the Leader of Learning and Onboarding on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Incorporate excellent facilitation skills to execute self-paced learning paths or live learning events that are measurably successful, innovative, inspiring and promote behavior change
- Communicate any changes to course catalog appropriately
- Maintain overall course catalog of Gen Pop and On-Demand Content and determine best communication strategy to the masses
- Partner with Learning & Development, Ops & Delivery to develop standards & system to categorize and evaluate effectiveness of current training
Qualifications
Got the skills and experience? Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Bachelor's degree required; adult learning certification preferred
- 7+ years HR combined experience in Learning & Development and/or Talent Management
- Must have professional facilitator skills in order to engage audience and course-correct when needed
- Minimum 3–5 years corporate learning experience including content creation and delivery
- Deep levels of knowledge of adult learning practices and the ability to apply those practices to all types of learning modalities
- Proven ability to design, deliver and facilitate adult learning with success
- Understanding, consideration of and the ability to apply Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging best practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to influence change in an established culture
- Ability to build trusted partnerships across all levels with professional maturity to know when to exert influence and when to follow
- Ability to be a proactive self-starter, able to build plans and empowered to work independently as well as a part of a large team
- Motivated lifelong learner who is always looking to improve and uses assessment to measure levels of contribution
- Ability to simplify, streamline and clearly articulate complicated processes through clear communication and easy, practical application
- Strong data analysis, reporting and insight-gathering to measure success of programs and initiatives

- Salary: $100,000-$115,000 with an annual bonus of up to 10%
