Job Description
In a time of unprecedented expansion, we are seeking an Events Specialist, Product Operations to join our Customer Events and Conferences team. In this role, you will oversee product operations and logistics for Lakeshore events. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the seamless execution of our products throughout the entire event life cycle and to showcase them to valued customers. Ideal candidates have superior analytical, operational and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing projects. Applicants also should have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively to a variety of audiences. This is a hybrid position, with select days required at national events and at our distribution centers in Carson, CA, and Midway, KY.
A day in the office looks like this:
- Collaborate with events leads and proposals team to develop effective product strategies and align them with event goals
- Participate in kickoffs and event meetings to ensure product requirements are met
- Work with the Sales Orders team to facilitate and troubleshoot sales orders, conduct stock checks and oversee order management for accurate inventory and efficient event planning
- Coordinate logistics of shipping products to and from events, including transportation, delivery and unloading
- Arrange and coordinate labor for efficient setup and dismantling of products at larger events and conferences
- Oversee on-site product production, including unloading, setup and staging for brand-owned events and conferences
- Oversee, inventory and direct the loading and unloading of event-related products and other marketing materials onto trucks at Distribution Centers; be present on-site as required and ensure proper staffing when unavailable
- Supervise product staging during larger events and conferences, ensuring that they adhere to the approved floor plans and make any necessary adjustments as required
- Audit products for damages and shortages, finding replacements when necessary
- Manage breakdown, re-boxing and proper packaging of products for transportation during larger events and conferences
- Manage the distribution process of products back to Distribution Centers, other events or customers, ensuring their pristine condition
- Coordinate with Distribution Centers to address any damages during the product return process
- Support events specialists in expense input and reconciliation related to products
- Collaborate with Events team and leaders to optimize product production strategies and achieve cost savings
- Assist the Internal Events department with product requests and logistics as needed
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in operations, business, management, marketing or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a related role or field
- Demonstrated project management experience
- Exceptional ability to prioritize, problem-solve and make decisions
- High attention to detail
- Experience using Microsoft Office preferred
- Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate changes in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to make data-driven decisions and ask relevant questions based on data
- Ability to lift and carry heavy merchandise weighing 35-50 lbs. as needed
- Willingness to travel domestically approximately 30% of the time
