Job Description
In a time of unprecedented expansion, we are seeking a Business System Analyst to work closely with both IT and the Sales & Marketing departments to understand business needs and opportunities to use technology to address objectives. This position will act as a liaison between IT and business teams to translate requirements, opportunities and project updates, as well as prioritize competing requests. The role will work on all Sales- and Marketing-related tools with an emphasis on Salesforce, Pardot and SessionM. The ideal candidate possess an analytical mind and is able to explain difficult conceptions to nontechnical users. A day in the office looks like this:
- Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies
- Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings
- Performing requirements analysis
- Documenting and communicating the results of your efforts
- Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports
- Managing solutions and requirements prioritization to deliver best value to stakeholders and the business
- Providing status updates to customers and stakeholders
- Managing Sales & Marketing technical projects, developing agile project plans and monitoring performance
- Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements
- Serving as a liaison between IT and the Sales and Marketing departments
- Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely, quality completion of projects
- Assessing, resolving and delegating IT Service Desk tickets related to Sales and Marketing tools
- Assisting with system support and maintenance, including maintaining user groups and permissions, testing newly implemented enhancements and software, and identifying areas of opportunity for system efficiencies
Qualifications
Got the skills and experience? Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, software development or related field preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, sales, marketing or a related field
- Experience with Salesforce, Pardot and/or loyalty platforms preferred
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to build strong relationships across both IT and business teams
- Experience with cross-functional projects involving executive-level members as well as support staff
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Ability to thrive in a continuously evolving, fast-paced setting
- Self-motivation and organization with a demonstrated ability to proactively manage and prioritize multiple competing projects simultaneously
- Proactive approach coupled with strong planning and organizational skills
- Service focus, operating with a sense of urgency
