Job Description
We currently have an exciting position available for an Junior Treasury Bookkeeper, to be based at our Head Office branch.
You are responsible for
Inclusive of, but not limited to:
The Junior Treasury Bookkeeper is accountable to process all first book entries correctly as well as various financial functions as required.
- Perform bank & basic balance sheet reconciliations.
- Perform daily bank uploads and processing overviews.
- Completing forms for changes to the bank profiles of users.
- Load and prepare bank transfers.
- Perform cash flow statements analysis (statements).
- Ensure transfers are presented on time to bank approvers.
- Creditors' clerical capturing.
- Assisting Creditors Team Leader with journals, processing, audit requirements and ad-hoc tasks.
- Basic balance sheet reconciliations from treasury side.
- Facilitate and prepare expense and reimbursement claims.
- Process system journals (cash movements) and reports.
- Facilitate and handle Petrol card statements and reconciliations.
- Control petty cash issuing and reporting with proper voucher support and approval and reconciliations.
- Other ad-hoc administrative financial support to FM.
- Loading of Extra Collections on Bank portal and reporting on Extra Collections for the month.
Additional ad-hoc & Annual
- Assist Treasury Bookkeeper with ad-hoc monthly reconciliations, problem solving and any other urgent tasks.
- Contacting banks to obtain current credit card balances
- Preparing electronic audit files for year-end audits.
- Completing new bank account, supplier, and credit application forms as required.
- Checking documentation, reconciling and processing of credit card accounts.
Other
- Perform related task as required by management.
- Training new staff members in bookkeeper position as and when required.
Package & Remuneration:
Salary: R15000-R17500 CTC per month

Qualifications
You'll need a customer-first mindset and the following skills to succeed in this role:
- At least 2 – 5 years’ experience in similar position.
- Matric is essential
- NQF 6 (Diploma and or Advanced Certificate) in Accounting or Bookkeeping qualification.
- Intermediate to Advanced MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Pastel knowledge.
- Valid Driver’s License and own vehicle.
- Present information in report format.
- Generate information and reports for internal and external use.
- Must pay attention to detail.
