Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Assist the purchasing team in their day to day tasks, especially due to increasing administrative tasks

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES (NB: Under direct responsibility of the purchaser)

The purchasing trainee will be responsible for:

  • Administrative work
  • Suppliers panel management
  • Launch of social audit and follow up on the corrective actions plans
  • Some purchasing projects => Biddings, negotiations and awarding projects (under direct responsibility of the Purchasing Manager)
  • Possibly some contracts settlement and negotiations (under direct responsibility of the Purchasing Manager)

The purchasing portfolios (segments/families) covered will be depending on the workload at the given moments.

In parallel, he/she could possibly participate in the long-run strategic projects such as :

  • Regional biddings on key items
  • Sourcing
  • Value analysis studies

Qualifications

Key competences :

  • Strong communications skills
  • Good English speaking and writing
  • Autonomy and sense of initiative
  • Business oriented

 

Technical Skills :

  • Skills of negotiations
  • Good proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint

 

Would be an advantage but not mandatory :

  • Commercial awareness
  • Knowledge in Purchasing
  • Experience within Perfumes & Cosmetics industry
  • Analytical skills

 

Profile :

  • Bachelor degree level
  • Able to commit a 6 months internship from Jul 25 to Dec 25
  • The candidate must be willing and at ease to work in autonomy
  • He/she will be asked to be a creative force, goal driven and capable of building good relationships with both internal customers and suppliers.
