Job Description

We have an opening for a Records & Quality Control Specialist. You will manage and quality-control Security Organization training records, databases, reports, and related documentation. You will analyze training and performance data, track established metrics, prepare reports, and coordinate with training personnel and stakeholders to support compliant and effective training operations. The position will report to the Training and Security Awareness Group Leader.

You will:

  • Collect, maintain, and report established performance metrics; track trends; support action triggers for indicators of lagging performance; and prepare monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reports.
  • Analyze training and performance data, survey feedback, and ammunition consumption information to identify trends and support training, acquisition, and course-improvement decisions.
  • Generate reports from the LLNL SunFlower database; maintain ammunition inventory records; and research, resolve, and document discrepancies.
  • Manage training records, course information, schedules, completions, qualifications, forms, and databases, including Training Approval Program, Basic Readiness Standard, Field Training Officer, LTRAIN, instructor, and adjunct-instructor records and requirements.
  • Conduct quality-control reviews of training documents, lesson plans, assessments, evaluation sheets, reporting data, and training materials for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with established requirements.
  • Compile paper and online assessment and survey results and prepare reports to support reliable trending and improvements in course delivery.
  • Respond to routine records, reporting, database, documentation, and quality-control issues by interpreting and applying established procedures, guidelines, and requirements.
  • Coordinate with training leadership, instructors, instructional system design staff, training coordinators, stakeholders, database users, and institutional support organizations to identify issues and participate in developing solutions.
  • Prioritize recurring reporting, records-management, lesson-management, task-revalidation, and quality-control activities; participate in LTRAIN administrator working groups; and provide technical guidance on records, reporting, and data quality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
  • Experience managing training records, databases, documentation, or administrative processes in a regulated, technical, training, or operational environment.
  • Experience collecting, analyzing, tracking, and reporting quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Experience preparing management reports and identifying trends or performance indicators.
  • Experience performing quality-control reviews for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance.
  • Strong organizational, writing, editing, proofreading, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret established procedures, resolve routine issues, document discrepancies, and prioritize multiple assignments.
  • Proficiency with computer applications used for data management, reporting, metrics, requirements, or certification tracking.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a changing operational environment.
  • Ability to work at Site 300, with occasional off-shift activity and periodic travel as required.

Qualifications We Desire

  • Experience with LTRAIN, LLNL SunFlower, ammunition inventory systems, or comparable enterprise applications.
  • Experience developing trend reports, dashboards, surveys, or recurring management reports.
  • Experience supporting protective force, security, emergency response, or regulated training programs.
  • Experience participating in working groups addressing application, process, data-maintenance, or reporting issues.
  • Associate degree, professional certification, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.

Pay Range

$82,140 - $100,608 Annually

This is the lowest to highest salary range in good faith we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
