What will your days be like at LGI Healthcare Solutions? 

As the Manager of Business Systems, your mandate is to provide the organization with the tools it needs to operate efficiently, by creating customized applications, customizing standard software solutions, and managing and configuring these applications to enable the smooth running of internal processes. This includes the following responsibilities: requirements definition, solution selection, project management and implementation, maintenance, support, and evolution of applications. You will be the main point of contact for all systems, projects, and strategic discussions with the various customer and delivery teams. Finally, you will define the strategy for the systems landscape by defining the roadmap for the evolution of these systems. 

How will your contributions be showcased?

Stakeholder interaction management :

  • Strategic alignment: Proactively identifies business needs and challenges, collaborating with stakeholders early in the process.
  • Needs assessment: Actively listens to internal customers, understanding their pain points and aspirations.
  • Solution selection: Collaborates with stakeholders to select the most appropriate solution design.
  • Change management: Promotes organizational change related to systems adoption.
  • Partnership building: Cultivates strong relationships, positioning IT as a driver of business success.
  • Trusted advisor: Provides expert advice on technical solutions, guiding stakeholders towards optimal results.
  • Challenge management: Handles difficult situations, escalations, and conflicts between stakeholders with aplomb and seniority.

Technical expertise :

  • Solution creation: Programs or configures software features and applications to provide internal customers or systems with the functionality required to meet business needs.
  • Vendor Management: Oversees external vendors, ensuring effective day-to-day support and delivery of system implementations and modifications.
  • Challenge and Validation: Has the technical understanding to challenge suppliers when necessary, ensuring the best implementation decisions.
  • Solution Design: Independently develops technical solution designs by exploiting system capabilities and/or technologies.
  • Complexity assessment: Assesses the complexity of changes and initiatives, balancing feasibility and impact.

Project management and documentation review :

  • Implementations:
    • Acts as system project manager for all new implementations or change requests.
    • Leads the analysis, creation, quality assurance, and implementation phases of projects.
    • Carries out and completes functional analysis prior to the realization of the most complex requirements in order to establish the various required configurations, risks, and technological limits of the chosen software or SaaS.
  • Documentation quality assurance :
    • Review and improvement: Meticulously reviews system documentation, ensuring clarity, completeness, and accuracy.
    • Collaborative writing: Although not always the main author, actively contributes to the improvement of documentation.
    • Knowledge base maintenance: Maintains a solid knowledge base, reinforcing Level 1 support.

Systems leadership :

  • System management and proactive outlook:
    • Level 2 support: Provides system support as a Level 2 resolver.
    • System monitoring: Leads ongoing system management, including maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements.
    • Proactive status updates: Provides regular updates to stakeholders, highlighting system performance, risks, and opportunities.
    • Recommendations: Provides strategic recommendations to optimize systems, aligning with evolving business needs.
  • Architecture :
    • Takes an overview of the various demands made by internal customers, systems performance, integrations, business processes, and strategic initiatives to recommend how systems should evolve and communicate with each other.
    • Contributes to the Business Intelligence strategy by understanding the types of data contained in the various systems so that they can be included in the data warehouse.
  • Budget :
    • Develops budget proposals covering software licenses, infrastructure, and professional services, and tracks spending as activities burn funding. 
  • Strategy:
    • Able to step back and see the big picture to make recommendations on roadmap, priorities, and investments. 
    • Establishes messages and communications for broad dissemination or directors. 
    • Comfortable presenting and responding to executives. 

Qualifications

What you will bring to LGI Healthcare Solutions to succeed in the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or computer engineering or college diploma with relevant experience.
  • 10 years of experience in managing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise systems.
    • Experience in managing system implementations and operations.
    • Relationship management with internal customers.
    • Contribution to system architecture strategy.
  • Candidates who have implemented and/or managed enterprise systems such as these would be exceptional:
    • Business intelligence reporting and/or visualization, as well as data warehouses.
    • Dynamics 365 CE, Business Central, and Power Platform (Dataverse, Apps, Automate, Pages).
    • Configuration, management, and support of integrations, APIs, or iPaaS.
    • Lightweight development in C#, .NET, and Java.
    • SaaS solutions such as Hubspot, SmartRecruiters, HiBob, or 15five.
    • Solutions for IT asset management or privileged access management (PAM/PSM).
  • Ability to learn new technologies and concepts independently.
  • Organized and able to manage projects or coordinate implementations.
  • Stakeholder management skills and emotional intelligence to build strong relationships with internal customers.
  • Actively provide recommendations for improvements or solutions.

  • Budget Management.
  • Ability to mobilize support from own and other teams.
  • Ability to identify and assess risks.
  • Understanding of business context and processes, and ability to contextualize these with technical functional requirements.
  • Ability to adapt to working alone or as part of a team, depending on the situation.
  • This position must be bilingual as the candidate will be responsible for working with documentation in both French and English and communicating, orally and in writing, with both French-speaking and English-speaking partners/clients/suppliers/colleagues.
