Job Description

Become a Facilities Maintenance and Equipment Technician II at LGC and contribute to an ambitious, world-class team! In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring our facility functions seamlessly through the upkeep and repair of critical equipment.

Job responsibilities:

  • Conduct and maintain records of Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Calibrations on key pieces of equipment located around the facility.
  • Coordinate with department managers and supervisors on equipment acquisition and installation, ensuring efficient advancement of products through production.
  • Recognize safety and compliance issues, alerting staff and management of any nonconformances.
  • Support Safety Committee activities such as fire safety equipment checks.
  • Act as a fully proficient user of the CMMS (e.g., Faciliworks) across modules, including work order management, asset management, maintenance, and calibration activities.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2+ years of professional work experience.
  • Trade school or equivalent experience, high school diploma or GED with demonstrated success in a manufacturing environment.
  • HVAC and Electrical experience.
  • Familiarity with CMMS; entering and completing work orders, PMs, calibrations, etc.
  • Ability to read electrical/mechanical schematics, blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.

Preferred qualifications:

  • A relevant degree or similar experience in Biomedical Engineering or technical college.
  • Experienced in the repair, calibration, PM, and installation of existing and new equipment/systems.
  • Previous exposure to automation equipment and ISO8 Cleanrooms.
  • Additional hands-on experience validating and completing validation protocols for equipment.
  • Enhanced knowledge of RODI water systems.

  • Working in both open office settings and biological/chemical manufacturing environments.
  • Weekend and off-hour work to accommodate operations schedule, as needed.
  • 10% travel to other CDx locations.
