Job Description

Join LEONI's Global Non-Production Purchasing team and take ownership of strategic procurement activities within the area of Contract Logistics. As a Senior Purchasing Specialist, you will manage global sourcing initiatives, lead commercial negotiations with logistics service providers, develop warehousing cost models, and drive category optimization across our international organization. Working closely with global stakeholders and suppliers, you will contribute to cost efficiency, operational excellence and the continuous development of LEONI's logistics network.

What will be your responsibilities?

  • Develop and execute benchmarks and strategies to independently manage global Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Quotation (RFQs), including supplier communication, offer evaluation and commercial comparison
  • Develop and maintain warehousing cost models to validate supplier quotations and ensure transparency and competitiveness of logistics costs
  • Lead commercial and contractual negotiations with logistics service providers to secure optimal pricing, service levels and contractual conditions
  • Manage the Contract Logistics category by identifying opportunities for cost optimization, supplier consolidation and continuous process improvement
  • Build, maintain and further develop Purchasing databases to support supplier management, cost analysis and category reporting
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with business requirements and strategic objectives
  • Analyze market developments and recommend improvements to strengthen procurement efficiency and supplier performance
  • Contribute to the continuous development and standardization of Purchasing processes, tools and best practices across the organization

Qualifications

What do we expect from you?

  • University degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Economics or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in Contract Logistics, ideally within an international automotive environment
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in warehousing cost calculation, preferably in the automotive industry (experience with wire harnesses is an advantage)
  • Strategic Purchasing background in Logistics with experience in supplier negotiations is an advantage 
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with confidence in working with complex cost models and financial data
  • Proven experience in creating, maintaining and analyzing databases
  • Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is an advantage
  • Fluent English (minimum B2 level); additional European languages are an advantage

Basic gross guaranteed salary: 2200 EUR/Brutto 

The final salary may be higher than the advertised minimum and will be determined individually based on the candidate’s relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and the requirements of the position.
