Job Description
Responsible for the service delivery of all Transportation Coordination duties for assigned plants according to defined objectives and KPIs.
Function specific responsibilities:
- Monitor transportation operations to ensure that staff members comply with LEONI transportation policy, procedures, safety rules, environmental policies and government regulations.
- Review & update busses routes & stations according to government new infra structures & based on union possible requests.
- Direct coordination with relevant departments (i.e. production, VCM,…etc.) to receive the layoffs (shortages, stock take..), daily plans & overtime.
- Assure the transportation arrangements if any during holidays as per production requests
- Responsible to issue the renewals of company cars licenses & periodical maintenance.
- Follow up company cars accidents or repairs with both insurance company & maintenance agency.
- Report a daily busses traffic (attendance, departure, lateness & absence) to relevant parties in order to take necessary actions.
- Perform regular audits to the busses (valid licenses - cleaning - overall status, etc.).
- Follow-up with representatives of transportation suppliers for the daily issues.
- Perform required audits for precautionary measures, as defined & requested from authorities and/or internal regulations (e.g. for Covid pandemic, as sanitizing, masks, etc.).
- Regular updates to transportation data base (address, station, bus line, etc.).
- Review monthly invoices with accounting function to ensure the payments are adherent to contract pricing.
- Assist and support line managers & union in transportation requests.
Supervision of Transportation representatives:
- Supervise the performance of Transportation representatives in LEONI and provide continuous feedback to Head of Facility Management.
- Assign tasks and follow up the completion on the agreed timeline.
Reports and Analysis:
- Develop and generate transportation statistical reports (attendance, lateness, weekly & monthly budget reports).
- Monitor of daily reports outputs to improve the bus lines with low utilizations (merging, changing bus capacity, route change).
- Responsible for company cars reports of (maintenance, licensing, …etc.).
- Daily utilization demo report per line per site.
- Monthly report of COVID19 cost versus budget.
Interface with Transportation suppliers:
- Follow up with suppliers to solve busses issues & monthly monitor of KPIs.
- Regular daily communication to prepare the needed fleet busses numbers as per production needs.
- Monthly meeting to review & approve monthly invoices presented to LEONI.
- Review bus line routes & stations with necessary requests from employees & union.
Budget:
- Monitor spending of both company cars & transportation busses to ensure that expenses are consistent with approved budgets.
- Set & control for COVID19 precautions requirements budget.
- Review RFC with controlling function.
Customer satisfaction:
- Respond to daily issues from busses LEONI supervisors.
- Provide assistance in case of busses absent / lateness to compensate TAXI allowances.
- Solve problems related to employees & busses drivers and provide feedback to relevant managers.
Continuous improvement:
- Ensure efficient and effective daily busses utilization & capacity monitoring according to production plans.
- Diagnose potential areas for improvement actions and proactively drive measures for improvement.
- Making plans for improvement and cost savings related to the maintenance of the company's cars.
