Talent Acquisition Specialist

  • Full-time
  • Office Location: Melbourne
  • Department: People and Culture

Company Description

For more than 20 years, KordaMentha has supported businesses through some of their most complex matters and opportunities. Founder owned and led; we are an advisory firm that helps corporations, financiers, lawyers, private investors and government clients to grow, protect and recover value.

That’s what we do, but it’s how we do this that makes us who we are.

Proudly independent, strategically local, and with a bias for action to get things done, we focus on doing what is right by our clients, our people, and the wider community. Our track record shows that we help navigate the best path forward in challenging times, and do so across cities, regions and territories.

In the most stressful or demanding environments, we continue to drive change where it really counts.

Job Description

As our firm continues to experience significant growth, we are committed to attracting, developing, and retaining exceptional talent to support our evolving business needs. In response to our expansion through new service offerings, we are looking for a motivated Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our national People and Culture team based out of Brisbane.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business to identify talent gaps and deliver an exceptional candidate experience, with a strong focus on sourcing and securing experienced talent across the firm. In addition, you will provide support to our graduate recruitment initiatives, helping to attract and engage emerging talent. Your efforts will play a key role in building high-performing teams and supporting KordaMentha’s continued growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding.
  • Proactively source candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter and build talent pipelines.
  • Create and manage roles in the applicant tracking system and on job boards (LinkedIn, GradConnection, Seek).
  • Manage annual graduate and vacationer recruitment campaigns, including employer information sessions, society events, and online campaigns.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to conduct job briefs and accurately capture hiring criteria.
  • Provide regular updates to hiring teams and maintain accurate recruitment records.
  • Review, screen, and shortlist candidates and referrals in line with role requirements.
  • Administer and schedule psychometric assessments and reference checks.
  • Prepare employment contracts and participate in candidate interviews as needed.
  • Organise and attend university events, careers fairs, and society events, coordinating firm-wide participation.
  • Support general People & Culture administration by responding to queries, updating internal pages, and liaising with payroll and admin teams.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years' experience in a similar role. Agency recruitment or professional services talent acquisition experience is highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience with high volume recruitment.
  • Intermediate to advanced level MS Office suite.
  • Professional presentation, high level of commerciality, and ability to maintain employee confidentiality.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure.
  • High level time management, organisational, prioritisation, and project management skills.
  • Proactive and able to develop and map processes.
  • Task-oriented with a bias for action.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.
