The Engineering Manager is dedicated to ensuring the success of a talented team of engineers, working with designers and product managers who are building the best in class software.  In this role, you’ll be building out the key parts of our product with the Core Platform team. 

You will be working on a modern stack of Golang, Javascript and React (+Typescript), MongoDB, Postgres, and AWS.  This Engineering Manager sits on the team responsible for the look and feel of the customer-facing application, the bulk of the UI, and our main operational product lines.

As an Engineering Manager, you’ll be guiding and leading a group of talented, agile, and diverse engineers to help craft polished experiences for our customers that are impactful to executing clinical trials. You’ll liaise with cross-functional leaders in Product Management, User Experience, Support, and more to build connections, understand our product and use cases, and build out an ambitious roadmap. You’ll work with engineers to keep both frontend and API performance top of mind, data secure, and the Koneksa Platform experience valuable to all of our users.

Responsibilities: 

• Lead a highly adaptable team that can responsibly deliver on short-term and long-term business goals

• Contribute actively towards the development and structure of the engineering organization, including team structure, recruiting, and hiring

• Establish team goals and metrics that align the team towards the execution of the company strategy and vision while maintaining our tech organization’s standards and best practices

• Develop talent and grow your team into a high performing healthy development organization by supporting them through strong delegation, 1:1’s, and regular transparent, actionable feedback

• Collaborate with Product, Data, and Design teams to help define and support technical design, work breakdown, implementation, testing, and deployment of features, products, and systems

• Ideate and design software solutions with your team and get hands on when your team needs it

• 10+ years of experience with at least 3+ years People Leadership/Management experience

• Successful track record of building high performing, healthy, and sustainable teams that addressed increasingly complex technical and organizational challenges

• Excellent problem-solving skills with a solid understanding of the entire software development lifecycle

• Experience with Computer Systems Validation (CSV) experience is a plus.

• The ability to be hands-on with Golang, Javascript and React (+Typescript), MongoDB, Postgres, and AWS is a big plus.

• Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships across the organization from Engineering Managers, Leads, Product Managers, Designers, and Data colleagues

• Experience understanding the unique career paths of individual engineers and providing guidance and mentorship to help grow their potential and achieve their career goals

• Strong communication, analytical, and technical skills
