Job Description
Job Purpose:
Assist company in effecting more efficient sourcing processes to save costs and maximize profitability. Negotiate with suppliers to obtain goods, materials, and services at the best prices by using strategic sourcing strategies and extensive knowledge of their assigned commodities.
Specific duties and responsibilities:
- Act as primary point of contact for sourcing-related activities for assigned commodities.
- Implementing inventory optimization strategies within the company.
- Develop and expand category knowledge in support of sourcing projects
- Administer contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives
- Support Purchasing Agents focused on day-to-day activities.
- Request quotations for material and services, evaluate bids for pricing and delivery commitments.
- Perform data collection for all spend data, based on assigned commodities.
- Perform sourcing activities as part of cross-functional teams.
- Update and maintain vendor files in the system.
- All other duties required
Qualifications
Preferred Key Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain management, or managing suppliers
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in contracting/negotiation processes and best practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Apps (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Communication, organization/time management, and problem-solving skills
- Collaborative in nature to ensure all stakeholders are being managed and engaged when appropriate
- Flexibility and the ability to work independently
- Bachelor Degree

Additional Information
New Berlin, WI with some travel to Watertown, WI location This is a hybrid position that requires living within commutable distance of New Berlin, WI - NOT fully remote
