We are seeking a skilled Senior Power BI Analyst / Business Intelligence Developer to spearhead our data analytics and develop scalable data solutions. 70% of your time will be spent iterating and collaborating with non-technical stakeholders to build actionable and insightful dashboards on Power BI reports.  20% will be as one of our liaisons to a consultant converting our Snowflake data lake into an Amazon Redshift data warehouse. 10% of your time will be spent on whatever projects you think can move the business forward.

Key Responsibilities:

• Power BI Report Development (70%):
  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports across operations, sales, and finance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and iterate on dashboard designs.
  • Help instill a data-driven culture that adopts data and visualization best practices.
• Data Engineering and Architecture (20%):
  • Influence and oversee a data warehouse implementation consultant to design and optimize scalable data warehouses.
  • Provide business context and insights to support the consultant in structuring data for analytics and reporting.
  • Understand and monitor ETL processes, ensuring unstructured and semi-structured data is transformed into structured formats suitable for analytics.
• General Responsibilities:
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and sales, to identify and prioritize data needs.
  • Support data quality initiatives and promote governance best practices.
  • Provide technical leadership for Power BI development and contribute to the overall analytics strategy.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including DAX and M-code for data modeling and transformation.
• Foundational knowledge of data architecture and data warehouse design principles.
• Strong understanding of ETL processes and familiarity with tools such as Snowflake or Redshift.
• Collaboration and problem-solving skills with non-technical stakeholders.
• Growth mindset.

Bonus Points for Distinctive Candidates:

• Familiarity with data warehousing platforms such as AWS Redshift, Snowflake, or Azure Synapse.
• NetSuite development experience
• Proficiency in Python or R for advanced data processing and analytics.
• Experience with Salesforce data structures and analytics.
• Experience with machine learning concepts or predictive analytics.
