Job Description
The Freelance Senior Art Director will support Klick’s Creative Craft on an ad-hoc basis for Spanish-language and LATAM-focused creative needs. This role partners with copywriters, creative leads, strategy, client service, and cross-functional teams to develop clear, culturally relevant visual ideas for agency client work. The ideal freelancer brings senior-level concepting, art direction, design craft, agency experience, and the ability to collaborate in English with Klick teams.
What You’ll Do
- Lead visual concepting and art direction for LATAM-focused campaigns across digital, social, CRM, presentation, and promotional deliverables.
- Develop design systems, campaign look-and-feel, layouts, and visual storytelling that align to brand requirements and creative strategy.
- Partner with copywriters, creative leads, strategy, and client service teams to shape integrated ideas from brief through final delivery.
- Review and refine design work based on stakeholder feedback, accessibility needs, brand guidelines, and project timelines.
- Support ad-hoc freelance assignments with clear communication, reliable delivery, and senior-level creative judgment.
Qualifications
Required:
- Native-level Spanish fluency or proven experience creating Spanish-language visual work, with portfolio samples for LATAM audiences.
- Professional English fluency for day-to-day collaboration with internal teams, including written feedback, calls, and creative reviews.
- 5+ years of art direction or senior design experience in an agency environment, with examples of concept development and finished campaign deliverables.
- Portfolio demonstrating senior-level art direction, visual systems, layout, typography, and multichannel design execution.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or comparable design tools, with examples of production-ready digital or print deliverables.
- Availability for freelance, ad-hoc assignments with the ability to respond to project briefs, timelines, and feedback cycles.
Desired:
- Comfort and enthusiasm for using AI as a regular part of how work gets done.
- Portuguese language skills for reviewing or supporting Brazil-market creative work.
- Healthcare, pharma, life sciences, or regulated-category experience with examples of compliant creative deliverables.
- Experience adapting global or regional creative platforms for local LATAM market needs.
- Experience mentoring or reviewing junior creative work on project-based assignments.
Additional Information
The rate for this position will be determined based on several factors such as a persons work location, their unique skill set, education, and prior work experience.
This is remote ad-hoc support.
