Job Description

The Engagement Coordinator Intern supports internal communications and employee engagement initiatives across Klick. Working closely with the VP of Internal Communications and People Engagement and the People Practices team, this role helps bring internal programs, events, and messaging to life. The internship offers hands-on experience coordinating engagement initiatives, creating internal content, and contributing ideas that strengthen connection and culture across the organization.

Internship Term: May - August, 2026

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate employee engagement initiatives and internal events, including logistics, communications, and follow-ups with cross-functional partners.
  • Draft internal communications such as announcements, internal posts, and event messaging using collaboration tools and content platforms.
  • Design internal engagement content and creative assets using tools such as Canva, PowerPoint, or similar platforms.
  • Maintain and update the internal communications calendar, helping organize messaging timelines and key employee engagement moments.
  • Maintain and update the People Practices programming calendar, ensuring the entire craft has visibility to all activations.
  • Track and summarize engagement metrics, feedback, and participation data to support continuous improvement of internal programs.
  • Coordinate People Practices Mojo meetings including agenda creation, collection of assets, booking meeting space and informing attendees of meeting requirements

Qualifications

Required:

  • Graduating by April 2026 or graduated within the past two years from a program in communications, public relations, marketing, human resources, organizational development, or a related field with demonstrated written communication through projects, coursework, or writing samples.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills demonstrated through collaborative projects, team leadership roles, or customer-facing work experience.
  • Ability to create clear written content such as announcements, newsletters, or social posts supported by writing samples or coursework.
  • Experience coordinating events, activities, or initiatives through student leadership, campus organizations, retail, hospitality, or similar environments.
  • Experience creating simple visual or presentation materials using tools such as Canva, PowerPoint, Google Slides, or similar design platforms.
  • Comfort and enthusiasm for using AI as a regular part of how work gets done.

Desired:

  • Experience creating digital or social-style content for internal audiences, student groups, or online communities.
  • Exposure to internal communications, employer brand, employee experience, or HR-related coursework or projects.
  • Experience managing multiple tasks or deadlines simultaneously in academic, volunteer, or part-time work settings.
  • Interest in workplace culture, employee engagement, and creative approaches to internal storytelling.

Additional Information

This posting is for a newly created role at Klick. The base salary for this position is equivalent to CAD 50,000 per year. The final amount offered will be determined based on several factors such as a candidate’s work location, their unique skill set, education, and prior experience.
