Job Description
Performs all aspects of Laboratory Testing, in include; specimen collections, scheduling, sample processing, analytical testing and equipment maintenance. Processing of test requests for all outpatient & inpatient services. Performs Point of Care, waived, moderate, and high complexity testing. If in a clinic setting will register patients and obtain x-ray images. This position may require travel among all KVH locations.
Qualifications
What is required...
- MA-P or MA-C license from the Washington State Department of Health within 12 months of hire (maintenance required)
- If performing x-rays, WA Department of Health Radiologic Technologist license
Based on level of degree;
- Completion of an approved 4 year MT/MLS program with MT/MLS certification obtained within six months of hire OR completion of all science credits that meet the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) for moderate and high complexity testing with on the job training and MT/MLS certification.
- Completion of an approved 2 year MLT program with MLT certification obtained within six months of hire OR completion of all science credits that meet the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) for moderate and high complexity testing with on the job training and MLT certification
What is preferred...
- Previous experience in a high complexity testing environment
- ASCP Certification or equivalent
Additional Information
Wage: Actual wage will be based on years' of applicable experience and level of education.
- MLS currently starts at $30.89/hour and goes up to $46.82/hour
- MLT currently starts at $25.19/hour and goes up to $38.19/hour
FTE: 1.0 (40 hours/week)
Schedule: Primarily 7:30pm-6:00am; Wednesday - Wednesday
Benefits: This position is benefits eligible
