Job Description

The position reports to the Manager of Accounting. Responsible for maintaining the general ledger including preparation of monthly journal entries, monthly account reconciliations, preparing financial statements, preparing statistical reports and other financial analyses.  Assists with maintaining capital asset records, prepaid amortization and cost schedules, of the organization. Works with both internal and external customers to include other KVH departments, auditors, and reporting organizations.  Assists with financial and governmental audits, provides routine maintenance of hospital management reports.  Assists other organization personnel in the interpretation and evaluation of monthly operating reports.

Qualifications

What is required...

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or directly related area; equivalent experience will be counted in lieu of education
  • Highly Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Products

What is preferred...

  • Previous experience a healthcare setting or in public accounting assisting hospitals
  • General knowledge and understanding of accounts payable, payroll, patient accounts and fixed asset accounting systems and how these systems interrelate with the hospital general ledger.

Additional Information

Wage:  Wage range currently starts at $31.48/hour and goes up to $45.00/hour. Actual wage will be based on years' of applicable experience.   

FTE:  1.0 = 40 hours/week; Exempt
