Job Description

Mission

We are looking for a hands-on Operations / Lean / Supply Chain professional to work on site at Keenfinity Ovar, providing technical and analytical support across three areas:

  • 40% – Ovar Plant Manager: operational excellence, factory performance, lean assessment and execution support.
  • 20% – Operations General Manager: cross-functional operations improvement, standards, performance management and strategic initiatives.
  • 40% – WW Supply Chain / Stocks Improvement Program: inventory analytics, DIO reduction, root-cause analysis, best-practice definition and deployment across the global manufacturing network.

The role is expected to be fact-based, analytical and hands-on, working directly with the organization to identify gaps, quantify opportunities and drive implementation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Ovar Plant – Operational Excellence | 40%

  • Assess the current factory operating model, material flow, planning, logistics and inventory management.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies, bottlenecks, waste and opportunities for productivity improvement.
  • Analyze shopfloor and supply-chain data to identify root causes, not only symptoms.
  • Support Lean initiatives, including flow, WIP, lead time, layout, replenishment and shopfloor management.
  • Translate findings into concrete actions, owners, timing and expected benefits.
  • Coach the local team in practical problem solving and sustainable improvement methods.
  • Support the Plant Manager in establishing and tracking operational KPIs.

2. Operations General Management Support | 20%

  • Provide independent technical analysis and fact-based recommendations on operational topics.
  • Support the definition and deployment of common manufacturing standards and processes.
  • Identify improvement opportunities across Operations and challenge existing ways of working.
  • Prepare management-level analysis, business cases and implementation roadmaps.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives involving Operations, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Planning, Logistics and Industrial Engineering.

3. WW Supply Chain / Stocks Improvement Program | 40%

  • Act as a technical and analytical support resource for the global DIO improvement program.
  • Analyze inventory data by plant, customer, material, SKU, supplier and inventory category.
  • Identify the main drivers of excess, obsolete, slow-moving and strategic inventory.
  • Break down DIO into actionable drivers across Demand, Supply, Planning, Purchasing, Production and Logistics.
  • Quantify improvement potential and prioritize opportunities based on financial impact.
  • Develop dashboards, analytics and management reporting to monitor progress.
  • Benchmark performance between plants and identify transferable best practices.
  • Support the definition of global DIO reduction standards, KPIs and governance.
  • Follow up actions with the plants and challenge deviations from agreed targets.
  • Ensure that improvements are translated into sustainable cash and working-capital impact, not only temporary inventory reductions.

Qualifications

What distinguishes you:

  • 5+ years of experience in Operations, Lean Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Consulting.
  • Strong experience in inventory management and DIO reduction.
  • Proven hands-on experience in manufacturing environments, preferably EMS / electronics / high-mix, low-volume manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and ability to work with large datasets.
  • Excellent understanding of MRP, planning parameters, safety stock, lead times, lot sizes, WIP and inventory segmentation.
  • Strong Lean / Operational Excellence background.
  • Ability to move from data → root cause → action → implementation → measurable result.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with Plant Managers, Operations leaders and Supply Chain teams.
  • Comfortable challenging existing processes and ways of working based on facts.
  • Advanced Excel and preferably Power BI / data analytics capabilities.
  • Fluent English.
