Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Controller to join our Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for cost controlling, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and supporting strategic business projects. You will act as a key business partner, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and actionable insights to support decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Month-End Closing & Cost Control

  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end closing activities
  • Review and validate cost center postings and financial data
  • Checking and process invoices (ECM, Workons)
  • Perform detailed data analysis and identify cost variances

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Coordinate budget and forecast planning processes with business stakeholders
  • Prepare and maintain cost center budgets and forecasts
  • Analyze planning assumptions and provide recommendations
  • Ensure alignment between financial targets and business requirements

Reporting

  • Prepare regular cost center reports and financial performance analyses
  • Provide clear and transparent reporting to business management
  • Develop meaningful KPIs and dashboards to support decision-making
  • Explain variances, trends, and risks to stakeholders

HR Controlling

  • Monitor and analyze personnel costs, headcount development, and workforce planning
  • Track open positions and analyze vacancy developments
  • Support management with workforce-related financial analyses and reporting
  • Collaborate closely with HR and business departments

Project Support & Special Analyses

  • Support strategic and operational projects, including carve-out and transformation initiatives
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses and business case evaluations

Qualifications

  • Degree in economics, management, accounting or similar;
  • At least 4 years of professional experience;
  • Work experience with SAP ERP 6.0 (focus on module CO and BW);
  • Very good MS Excel skills and knowledgeable about  MS PowerBI;
  • Distinctive analytical competence, robustness and result orientation;
  • High IT affinity;
  • Fluent in English;
  • Team spirit, dynamic, proactive, responsible, strong analytical skills;
  • Good communication skills.
