Job Description
Kanadevia Inova is recruiting an O&M Shift Team Leader (STL) (Day Shifts), to lead the safe, compliant and efficient operation of our Westfield Energy Recovery Facility. This is a an operational leadership role with responsibility for plant performance, permit control and site safety across all operations and maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the Permit Office, ensuring all isolations and permits are issued and controlled safely
Ensure full compliance with HSE, environmental, operational and contractual requirements
Supervise operations and maintenance teams to maintain plant availability and output
Act as senior site representative when senior management is not on site
Maintain logs, look-ahead plans, inspections and housekeeping standards
Health, Safety & Compliance
Promote and enforce a strong safety-first culture across the site
Ensure all personnel are trained and competent for electrical, mechanical and permit duties
Lead safety meetings, audits, inspections and incident reviews
Ensure the facility remains safe, clean and compliant at all times
Drive continuous improvement in HSE performance
Qualifications
Experience & Qualifications
Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical background (preferred)
Proven experience in EfW, power generation or industrial plant operations
Good experience in a Shift Team Leader or supervisory role
Strong understanding of boilers, turbines, control systems and plant operations
Proven experience with permit-to-work and isolation systems
Technical & Operational Skills
In-depth knowledge of plant interlocks, alarms, trips and control loops
Ability to respond quickly and effectively during abnormal or emergency situations
Confident managing maintenance coordination and plant condition
Safety-driven leader who sets and maintains high standards
Competent with operational logs, reporting and planning tools
