Company Description

The Mobile Core is one of the fastest-evolving parts of the KPN network. New technologies such as 5G Standalone and Network Slicing are being introduced at a rapid pace. This requires the implementation of new platforms, migration of existing functionality, and the phasing out of legacy systems. At the same time, our Mobile Core network is critical to the Netherlands, and we aim for the highest possible availability. The challenge lies in ensuring that innovation and availability go hand in hand. We are looking for someone who can help us achieve these goals with a strong focus on quality.

Within the Mobile Core unit, four departments have been defined. The OSS & Tooling team is part of the Packet Switched Core department. This team is responsible for developing and maintaining a variety of systems used to configure, test, upgrade, and monitor the mobile core network—as well as for automating these processes. This network, which supports around 20 million mobile customers and IoT devices daily, plays a crucial role in the digital transformation of the Netherlands.

The OSS & Tooling team consists of 8 members from various nationalities and is characterized by a culture of collaboration and loyalty. Together, we ensure that our mobile network is always up and running—24/7. We are passionate professionals with a deep interest in telecom networks. Our culture is defined by transparency, a strong sense of responsibility, and a sharp focus on results.
