This role will provide a balanced blend of business enablement while minimising information security risk, providing pragmatic advice to uphold policies and assisting project and engagement teams to work through cyber risk challenges.

Key responsibilities will include:

• A solid understanding of cyber security principles.
• A practical understanding of the software development lifecycle, and the application of security principles, methods and techniques throughout.
• Knowledge of how to categorize organizational data based on sensitivity and criticality, such as public, confidential, or restricted. This understanding helps in prioritizing protection levels for different data categories.
• Being familiar with open-source software that anyone can use and improve, while understanding the risks and responsibilities that come with it.
• Knowledge of application controls, such as Role-based Access Control and encryption.
• Possess knowledge of security standards and frameworks such as NIST 800-53, ISO 27001 and/or SoC 2 Type 2

Qualifications and experience should include:

• Relevant tertiary cyber security certification.

1 -2 years of experience in cyber security role and/or general technology role.
