Our KDN Bulgaria Cloud unit is focused on designing, building, securing and managing cloud native and hybrid platforms for the KPMG group of member firms, as well as providing cloud advisory and engineering services to external clients.

We are looking for a Databricks Platform Engineer to join our dynamic and growing Cloud practice. If you are passionate about designing scalable data platforms, enabling data-driven innovation, and helping organizations modernize their analytics landscape, we'd love to hear from you.

• Design, build, and maintain enterprise-scale Databricks platforms across multiple environments
• Implement and manage Databricks workspace architecture, Unity Catalog, governance frameworks, and security controls
• Develop and maintain platform automation using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and DevOps practices
• Configure and manage platform connectivity, identity integration, access management, and infrastructure components required by Databricks workloads
• Implement platform observability, monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational processes
• Develop deployment standards, reusable platform patterns, and operational best practices
• Collaborate with architects, data engineers, platform teams, and security stakeholders to deliver secure and scalable Databricks environments
• Support platform modernization, migration, and onboarding initiatives across Databricks environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform, infrastructure, security, and performance-related issues
• Ensure platform reliability, scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency
• Define and implement platform governance standards, operational controls, and compliance requirements
• Contribute to technical documentation, engineering standards, automation frameworks, and delivery planning

• Strong hands-on experience implementing and operating Databricks platforms in enterprise environments
• Experience with Databricks Workspace administration, Unity Catalog, cluster policies, compute management, and platform governance
• Strong understanding of Databricks architecture, security, networking concepts, and platform operations
• Experience implementing Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform or similar technologies
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and DevOps practices
• Experience automating platform deployment, configuration, and operational processes
• Strong knowledge of identity and access management concepts, RBAC, service principals, secrets management, and governance models
• Experience implementing monitoring, observability, logging, and alerting solutions for distributed platforms
• Understanding of platform security, compliance, and enterprise governance requirements
• Experience troubleshooting infrastructure, connectivity, authentication, and platform performance issues
• Familiarity with Spark architecture, job execution, workload optimization, and cluster management
• Experience supporting production environments and operating critical business platforms
• Knowledge of modern cloud platforms and cloud-native operational practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across platform, infrastructure, security, and data teams
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Fluent English
