Job Description
The Mountain West Bridge Group is in search of an experienced Structural Engineer.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and develop project management capabilities, such as monitoring budgets and schedules, interacting with clients, and leading junior engineers.
- Work on interesting and challenging projects, from planning through design and construction.
- Lead technical and project discussions with the design team.
- Take responsibility for the quality control/assurance of project deliverables.
- Prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates, and reports.
- Perform structural design, analysis, and prepare design sketches. Instruct draftspersons on design drawings.
- Help build our Idaho business.
The Position
You will work in a fun and dynamic team to produce a range of deliverables from planning studies to construction documents and provide support to our clients during construction. Our group’s projects are primarily in the public works sector, with a broad range of project types.

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
- At least six years of experience in bridge design and project management.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Advanced proficiency in structural analysis and design software, including SAP, CSI Bridge, and PG Super.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working on a computer, reviewing plans, or conducting site visits.
- Capacity to move around project sites, climb ladders, and navigate uneven terrain.
- Occasionally lifting up to 15 pounds of equipment or materials.
