Job Description

KIPP Miami is looking for a strong candidate with a track record of developing future leaders. This candidate is passionate about education and understand the importance of strong leadership in generating student achievement and is committed to doing whatever it takes to help our students succeed.

Here’s what you need to know:       

We are looking for paraprofessionals for the current school year! Our schools are seeking awe-inspiring paraprofessionals to guide our students as they climb the mountain to college and beyond. Our paraprofessionals are dynamic leaders both in and outside of their classroom. They love students, working with families and the community they serve. 

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Implement the behavior support plan or behavior intervention plan developed to support the student throughout the school say and setting  
  • Implement assigned behavioral interventions and/or methodologies 
  • Use positive reinforcement for appropriate behavior 
  • Provide consequences and alternatives for problem behavior  
  • Model instructional and behavior management techniques 
  • Collect data in regard to behavior in order to make possible changes and revisions to the program. 
  • Report changes in the student’s behavior to the ESE Teacher and/or Full Inclusion Teacher and Case Manager. 
  • Provide assistance in curriculum modifications. 
  • Support and provide instruction to facilitate social interaction, facilitated play between student and classroom peers. 
  • Support instruction in behavior and social skills.
  • Other duties as assigned by the School Leader or manager. 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required
  • Associate Degree prefreed

Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Rate: $18.00 per hour , full comprehensive benefits plan, including health care, competitive 403(B) plan, and a school laptop.
