Job Description
The Payroll and Finance Manager (PFM) is a key member of the KIPP Delta Finance team, office located in Helena, AR. The PFM will assist with the day-to-day financial operations of our schools and the regional office in the areas of accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, internal controls, and vendor relations. The manager will report directly to the Director of Finance.
As the Payroll and Finance Manager, your core responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Key Finance Responsibilities
Serve as the primary liaison between KIPP Delta Finance, KIPP Delta Staff, and vendors for finance-related inquiries and reporting.
Process bi-monthly payroll, payroll reporting, and payroll-related payments.
Review, process, and code the department-level and school-level transactions: check requests; reimbursement requests, purchase order requisitions, invoices, credit card statements, and bank deposits.
Prepare vendor accounts payable batches, and weekly ACH batches for approval and posting to the Arkansas Public School Computer Network (APSCN).
Review weekly deposits and prepare the revenue sheet for data-entry.
Credit card management (prepaid card request, reconciliations, internal control).
Request and maintain W-9 files for vendors.
Research unpaid purchase orders, unpaid invoices, credit memos, and back-ordered items for accounts receivable/accounts payable.
Assist in month-end close and financial reporting, as assigned.
Communicate with vendors and school personnel pertaining to accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
Review purchase orders, check requests, and reimbursement requests to ensure it follows the procurement process.
Assist with any ad-hoc finance and accounting reports.
Assist with the yearly financial audit.
Manage the Finance inbox for internal and external requests.

Qualifications
The following are required of the Payroll and Finance Manager:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting or Business, OR – a minimum of five years of successful experience in accounting, payroll, or finance is required.
Experience in a K-12 public education is preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality as appropriate.
Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Excel.
Comfortable with Google Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs).
Evidence of personal initiative and follow-through.
Evidence of strong interpersonal skills.
Resourceful and flexible.

About KIPP Delta
KIPP Delta offers competitive salary and benefits packages. The salary range for this position is $45,000 to $55,000 commensurate with experience.
