KIPP Metro Atlanta currently operates eleven KIPP schools including four primary schools, five middle schools, one K-8 school, and one high school, as well as the KIPP Forward program which supports students through college, career, and beyond.
Job Description
KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools seeks an experienced School Operations Manager who will be responsible for managing and executing upon all administrative aspects of school events, field trips, transportation services, parent engagement, and parent communication.
As a KIPP Metro Atlanta School Operations Manager, your core responsibilities include:
School/Community Support
- Identifies new systems and programs for efficient school operations and process improvements
- Supports student recruitment initiatives
- Manages and executes the planning of all school field trips
- Plans and executes upon all school events (students, parents, and staff)
- Establishes annual event calendar
- Serves as the school historian by capturing and archiving event photos
- Manages daily operations of transportation services
- Supports academic events where parents are concerned (e.g. Academic Content Night)
- Conducts school tours for prospective families
Communication
- Manages electronic platform to host newsletter and school-wide communication
- Manages weekly newsletter in collaboration with Principal, Assistant Principals, and DOO
- Prepares and distributes a weekly newsletter to all families
- Updates school website with parent information, bus routes, menus, special events, etc.
- Manages social media platforms highlighting school values
Compliance
- Maintains comprehensive knowledge of the parent engagement Title I requirements
- Attends Title I parent involvement meetings and events with Director of Operations
- Inform, invite, and assembles parents to attend district-sponsored parent involvement events
- Hosts all required parent involvement Title I planning meetings
- Manages all parent involvement purchases
- Manages and tracks parent involvement inventory
- Establishes and maintains a Parent Resource Center, Library, or Corner with relevant material and resources for parents to utilize
- Conducts semi-annual evaluation of parent involvement program and overall parent satisfaction
- Updates parent involvement policy and school-parent compact annually to meet the changing needs of the parents and the school
- Distributes the school-parent compact and the school level parent involvement policy to parents of all children served
- Initiates and responds to parent phone calls, emails, and written correspondences related to Title I Parent Involvement/Family Engagement within 48 hours
- Maintains Title I Parental Involvement notebook to include parent notices, meeting artifacts, school-parent compact, school-level and district-level policy, and additional documents that support the facilitation of the Title I Family Engagement program
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Proven experience managing projects and data
- Experience with developing and maintaining productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work as a leader and as part of a team
- Ability to manage the ambiguity and multiple priorities inherent in an entrepreneurial environment
- Relentless results-orientation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and data system platforms
- Committed to the mission of preparing educationally underserved children for excellent high schools and colleges
Additional Information
Compensation:
- Salary Range is $47k - $70k annually.
