Working closely with an experienced Coordinator, you'll have regular opportunities to step into leadership, develop your Responsible Person capabilities, and play a key role in shaping the future success of the service. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Educator looking to progress their career and build the skills needed for future Coordinator opportunities.

This permanent, part-time role offers 30 hours per week. You’ll work across split shifts, Monday to Friday: 6.45 - 9.00am (Rise then Shine) and 2.45 - 6.30pm (Stay and Play).

About our Melton South service

Located within a welcoming Melton South school community, this service has strong foundations and exciting opportunities for growth. You'll be joining a team committed to creating engaging experiences for children while building meaningful relationships with families, school staff and the wider community.

This role offers a unique opportunity to make your mark. Working alongside the Coordinator and Operations team, you'll play an important part in growing attendance, strengthening family engagement and helping create a thriving service that children love attending.

About the role

With the Coordinator undertaking placement commitments throughout the year, you'll benefit from regular opportunities to step into a leadership capacity, providing valuable hands-on experience in service management, team leadership and day-to-day operations.

This is more than a support role. It's an opportunity to develop the confidence, skills and experience needed to take the next step in your OSHC leadership journey.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

• Help lead and mentor a passionate team of Educators onsite
• Become RP (responsible person) trained
• Build your confidence in roster management, service operations, compliance, and administration
• Create exciting, child-led programs including STEM, cooking, sport, art, and craft experiences
• Foster positive relationships with children, families, schools, and the wider community
• Develop the skills and experience needed to progress into future management opportunities

• Hold or be willing to obtain a national police check (which we will cover!)
• State working-with-children check
• Australian working rights
• National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko)  
• VIC Diploma-Level - Working towards or completed a relevant qualification to work as a Diploma-level Educator in VIC in accordance with ACECQA
