Somerville House OSHClub is seeking an inspiring and motivated OSHC Coordinator to join our growing service. About Somerville House 

Somerville House offers a unique opportunity to lead an OSHC service within a highly regarded all-girls private school, where children’s wellbeing and quality education are at the heart of the community. Licensed for 60 children, with exciting opportunities for growth, the service benefits from strong partnerships with the school, creating a seamless and supportive experience for children and families. With two dedicated OSHC rooms and access to a shared outdoor space, you'll have the resources and environment to deliver a high-quality, engaging program.

Your Schedule 

This is a permanent, full-time role, working across split shifts, Monday to Friday, including 8 hours of dedicated noncontact administrative time to support your success.

Service hours include:

  • Rise Then Shine: 6:30am – 9:00am
  • Stay and Play: 2:30pm – 6:15pm
  • School Holidays: Block shifts between 6:30am – 6:00pm

About your new role

As a Coordinator, you’ll be leading a team of passionate Educators and overseeing an engaging before- and after-school program for children aged 5-12 years. This role is all about leadership: 

  • Design and lead a vibrant, child‑centred program, filled with engaging experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, arts and crafts.
  • Take ownership of rosters, daily operations, compliance, and administration, with time allocated to do this well.
  • Build a positive, inclusive team culture where Educators feel supported, motivated, and proud of the program they deliver.
  • Partner with families, the school community, and internal stakeholders to ensure the service continues to grow and thrive.
  • Be supported by experienced Regional Managers and a dedicated Support Office so you’re never doing it alone.

Qualifications

If you have a passion for supporting children, we’d love to hear from you! Here’s what we’re looking for: 

  • Achieved or working towards Diploma qualification in a relevant field, or at least two years of full-time study towards an ACECQA-approved qualification
  • Proven experience in a leadership role and in OSHC 
  • National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko)  
  • A natural leader who enjoys guiding a team and helping others grow. 
  • Strong communication skills—you’ll be leading by example! 
  • A team player who inspires others and encourages growth. 
  • You have (or are willing to obtain) a National Police Check and Working with Children Check. 
  • Australian work rights.
