Breakfast & After School Club Early Years Lead 

Early Years Lead required to oversee and deliver high-quality childcare within a busy wraparound care setting in Ludgershall.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and qualified Early Years professional to lead our Breakfast and After School Club provision at Wellington Eagles Primary Academy.

This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, a passion for working with children, and a solid understanding of EYFS practice.

Start Date:

ASAP

Contract:

Term Time Only – with the option to work during school holidays if desired

Hours:

22.5 hours per week

Pay:

£13.50 per hour

Working Hours

Term Time:

  • 07:30 – 09:00 (Breakfast Club)
  • 15:00 – 18:00 (After School Club)
  • Monday to Friday

School Holidays (optional):

  • Up to 40 hours per week
  • Holiday club hours: 08:30 – 17:30

Please Note:

  • Applicants must hold a Level 3 EYFS Childcare Qualification
  • This is essential due to working with Nursery and Reception-aged children

You will be responsible for leading daily operations, supporting staff, and ensuring a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for all children attending the club.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the delivery of high-quality EYFS-based childcare
  • Manage, support, and motivate staff within the setting
  • Plan and supervise engaging activities including multi-sports, games, arts & crafts, and structured play
  • Ensure compliance with EYFS framework, safeguarding, and health & safety policies
  • Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation
  • Communicate effectively with parents, staff, schools, and central operations
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and well-organised environment
  • Support behaviour management and promote positive engagement
  • Take responsibility for safeguarding and the welfare of all children in your care
  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed consistently by the team

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 EYFS Childcare Qualification – essential
  • Experience working within Early Years settings
  • Previous leadership or team management experience (desirable)
  • Strong understanding of EYFS and safeguarding requirements
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Confident, proactive, and able to lead by example
  • Passionate about working with children and supporting their development
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
