Job Title:
Casual Breakfast & After School Playworker / Activity Leader – Harefield (UB9)
Casual Playworker / Activity Leader required to support and deliver engaging childcare activities within a Breakfast and After School Club setting in Harefield.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and flexible individual to join our team, supporting children during before and after school sessions, and helping create a fun, safe and inclusive environment.

- This role is to cover staff sickness, holidays, and busier sessions
- Additional permanent hours may become available in the future
Hours:
Up to 19 hours per week (Term Time)
Term Time Operational Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- 07:30 – 08:45 (Breakfast Club)
- 15:00 – 17:30 (After School Club)
School Holidays (optional):
- Up to 40 hours per week
- 08:30 – 17:30 (Watford location)
Pay:
Up to £12.71 per hour (plus holiday pay)

Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver structured and engaging activities such as multi-sports, games, arts & crafts, and structured play
- Create a fun, inclusive, and safe environment for children
- Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and company procedures at all times
- Ensure all sign-in and sign-out procedures are followed correctly
- Provide refreshments for children while maintaining hygiene standards
- Assist with setting up and packing away play areas and equipment
- Complete relevant documentation including accident and incident forms
- Communicate professionally with children, parents, colleagues, and schools
- Carry out basic equipment checks and maintain a safe environment
- Support and promote positive behaviour and engagement
- Provide first aid where necessary and uphold health & safety standards
- Keep all records and information confidential and secure
About the Role
As a JAG Playworker / Activity Leader, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality childcare by creating a positive, energetic and supportive environment for children attending our clubs.
You will work as part of a team to ensure children are engaged, safe, and enjoying their time in our care, while supporting their development through play and structured activities.

This role is subject to safeguarding requirements in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
