Job Description
Provide clinical and administrative support to dermatology providers in Richmond, VA, assisting with patient care, procedures, and EHR documentation for entry-level medical assistants.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Prepare exam rooms and patients for dermatology visits
- Assist dermatologists with skin exams and minor procedures
- Document patient histories and visit notes in EHR system
- Sterilize instruments and maintain clinical supply inventory
- Schedule follow-up appointments and manage patient referrals
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Entry-level Medical Assistant (willing to train)
- Basic training or coursework in dermatology preferred
- Experience or training with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth)
- Sterilization and infection control
- Dermatology procedure tray setup
- Medical terminology (dermatology focus)
- Phlebotomy and specimen handling
- Attention to detail
- Patient communication and bedside manner
- Team collaboration
