Job Description
We are looking for a thoughtful and hands-on Mid QA Engineer to join our product team and help raise the bar on quality at every stage of development. In this role you will partner with product managers, developers, and designers to ensure our software ships with fewer defects, clearer risk visibility, and a stronger overall user experience. You will play a key part in shaping test strategy, implementing automated solutions, and driving quality improvements that have a meaningful impact on our customers and business outcomes.
## Responsibilities
• Lead the development of comprehensive test plans for features and releases, including scope, acceptance criteria, risk assessment, and alignment with product goals.
• Design detailed test cases and test data from requirements and user stories, ensuring traceability to acceptance criteria and coverage of positive, negative, and edge cases.
• Execute manual and automated tests across supported environments, track results against the plan, and raise blockers within agreed SLAs.
• Reproduce, investigate, and document defects with clear repro steps, expected vs actual outcomes, severity, and environment, and collaborate with developers for triage.
• Collaborate with developers and product owners to clarify requirements, review designs, and verify fixes during defect resolution.
• Maintain defect dashboards and quality metrics, delivering regular status updates on test progress, risk, and coverage to stakeholders.
• Identify automation opportunities, contribute to automation scripts, and work with the automation team to expand coverage for critical paths.
• Perform regression testing and coordinate with CI/CD to run automated/regression tests as part of the release process.
