Role Description
// We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to enhance Masabi’s financial operations. This role will be pivotal in streamlining processes, supporting audits, optimising treasury functions, and ensuring robust financial management while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Location
// This role is available in fully remote and hybrid models. While we prefer candidates based in London, we will consider other candidates who are happy to travel to our London office occasionally.
Responsibilities
Oversee month-end profit and loss (P&L) activities, including balance sheet reviews and variance analysis
Prepare interim financial statements and year-end statutory accounts in line with regulatory standards
Act as the primary contact for year-end audits, driving efficiency throughout the process
Improve financial reporting systems and internal controls for greater accuracy and compliance
Contribute to ERP system projects, focusing on automation and operational enhancements
Provide technical accounting expertise and support across the finance team
Develop and implement treasury optimisation strategies to improve financial performance
Manage KYC documentation to maintain compliance with banking requirements
Support tax-related activities, including R&D tax credit claims and international tax compliance
Coordinate insurance renewals, assess insurable risks, and handle customer insurance queries
Qualifications
About you
// We’re looking for someone with a proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit, with experience in the following areas:
Proficient in SQL, Excel, and Google Suite, with strong data analysis and reporting skills
ACA or ACCA-qualified
Solid background in financial reporting, audits, and statutory account preparation
Expertise in technical accounting with the ability to guide and advise teams
Knowledge of treasury management, tax compliance, and ERP systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a process improvement focus
Excellent communication skills, fostering collaboration across departments
Highly desirable
Experience with R&D tax credit filings
Understanding of international tax regulations and group tax management
Familiarity with insurance processes and procurement strategies
Experience in finance roles within fast-paced, technology-driven environments
