IT Security Engineer (ACF2)

About this position

We’re seeking an experienced IT Security Engineer (ACF2) to support our client’s Security Team. In this role, you will safeguard the mainframe environment by designing and implementing robust ACF2 security controls. If you're passionate about protecting critical data, identifying access vulnerabilities, and driving governance efforts across complex IT ecosystems, this is a great opportunity to make an impact.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and administer ACF2 mainframe services and user access lifecycle

• Implement and enforce security controls to ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and availability

• Collaborate with engineers and project teams to align security frameworks with business goals

• Identify and remediate access risks, ensuring compliance with enterprise security policies

• Guide teams on ACF2 integration with enterprise tools and support enterprise security initiatives

Skills/Requirements

• 10+ years of experience supporting ACF2 security in a corporate environment

• Expertise with z/OS system security and mainframe subsystems (e.g., CICS, DB2, IMS, JES2)

• Familiarity with SSL, digital certificates, and risk assessment best practices

• Experience with role-based access governance and integration with platforms like Azure

• Strong knowledge of SIEM and privileged access tools (e.g., Splunk, CyberArk, TAM-Z)

Pay Range: $70–$80/hour
